What is better than photographing insects and spiders in the wild?
Exactly! Doing it together with like minded people.
You want to learn all about macro photography, focus stacking, macro diffusers, how to find insects, and much more?
Here is your chance!
On the 29th and 30th of August 2025, me and Marit (also known as macrobymarit) would like to invite you to join us on a 2-days Macro Photography retreat.
In a lush and colorful garden, we will share valuable insights, tips and techniques in theoretical sessions and then photograph together to make use of all that in the field!
To find interesting subjects and scenes, we will head out in the evening to spot insects and then photograph them early next morning, enjoying the sun rise on the plants and flowers in the garden, which serve as the perfect background.
The beautiful Olgarden is located in Deurningen in the Netherlands.
Here are some impressions to give you an idea of what to expect – lots of different plants and flowers, which means the perfect hunting ground vor various insects and spiders.
Oh, and while we´re at it: while the event is open for everyone, no matter the skill level or gear/brand, we will also have OM gear available for you to test out.
